PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The BCC Servers are to exceed guests expectations by serving quality food and beverage products efficiently, courteously, and correctly.
Essential Job Functions:
- Sells and serves food and beverage to guests in the restaurant, grill room, and Pavilion.
- Ensures that all preparation and closing duties are performed according to the published checklist and company standards.
- Stays current with company policies and procedures.
- Ensures the POS system is operational and accurate at all times.
- Reports on time and in proper uniform.
- Provides immediate attention to all member/guests upon seating.
- Seats guests and distributes menus as needed.
- Takes members/guests food and beverage orders.
- Turns orders into kitchen; tells cooks about any special cooking instructions.
- Serves meal; places dishes by courses in front of each person; serves food and drinks from the right of the guest. (clears from the left).
- Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary.
- Removes soiled dishes.
- Verifies accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips and other charges on all checks.
- Presents the bill.
- Handles all cash and credit cards as applicable from guests and members charges, as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
- Performs clean up and closing duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Director.
- Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Food and Beverage Director.
- Pours and refills wine, coffee, water and/or other beverages.
- Suggests and describes various appetizers, entrees, desserts, alcoholic beverages and wine to members and guests.
- Clears soiled utensils, glasses and dishes as needed.
- Cleans all assigned work areas in the back room and dining room.
- Advises supervisor of any member/guest complaints as soon as they occur.
- Assists in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, bussing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and resetting the room.
- Handles the charging of fees for all food and beverage related activities.
- Balances cash at end of shift/day.
- Adheres to ABC regulations regarding service and handling of alcohol.
- Assists in maintaining an attractive and orderly clubhouse.
- Ensures proper stocking and posted side work duties.
- Positively promotes the club throughout the community and while at work.
- Attends to guest requests as well as complaints professionally.
- Ensures each guest receives consistent service and products.
- Ensures all posted safety procedures are adhered to.
- Will be required to work on a shift basis, including weekends, nights and holidays.
- Must have a solid understanding of the golf club environment.
